Roussanne

Yangarra Estate Roussanne is estate grown at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale. The ancient geology, high altitude and Mediterranean climate are ideal this white Rhône variety.

The fruit is basket pressed and only the first 60% of the juice used to prevent broadness in the end wine. The unfined, unsettled juice is transferred to new and seasoned French oak for wild yeast fermentation.

The wine then matures for several months on lees, stirred monthly. Prior to bottling the wine is not fined, only filtered.

A golden hue, Yangarra Estate Roussanne is a fragrant, savoury and textural wine with bright fruit flavours and balanced tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
